Monroe Street Bridge jumper talked down by Spokane negotiators

Spokane PoliceSpokane Police officers responded shortly after midnight to a report of a suicidal male on the Monroe Street Bridge. The bridge was quickly shut down and talks began with the subject near the south end and east side of the bridge. Two on-duty negotiators arrived, and two more were called in. They talked to the subject for about four hours before the situation was peacefully resolved. The 29 year old male was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment.
