Stabbing occurs on Aubrey L White Rd in Spokane

Spokane PoliceOn August 11th, 2009 at 00:08 AM, Spokane Police received a call from a resident in the 7000 block of N Tucannon Ct.  The resident stated a subject was in her back yard banging on her patio sliding glass door.  The subject was yelling for help and then told the resident while she was on the phone with 911, that he had been stabbed.

Spokane Police Officers arrived and the subject tried to get away from police.  Officers had to hold the subject down while the Spokane Fire Department rendered aid to the subject for a stab wound to the left abdomen area.  The subject was transported to a local area hospital by ambulance.  While at the hospital the subject continued to be resistive making it difficult to determine the extent of his injury and to treat him.

Spokane Police located the possible crime scene in a turnout by the Spokane River on Aubrey L White Rd.  Major Crimes Detectives were notified and responded immediately.  It is unknown how serious the injury is to the subject at this time. 

The subject was identified as 39 year old John D. Anderson.  Anyone who has information regarding this case is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
