Spokane Police Gang Unit makes arrests in shooting incident

Spokane PoliceOn August 6, officers from the Spokane Police Department responded to the area of 2900 E 29th Avenue on a report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers found evidence of a shooting which consisted of spent casings and a bullet hole in a vehicle.

During an ongoing investigation, the Gang Enforcement Team has executed several search warrants and made two arrests.  31 year old Toby Hunt was arrested for Attempted First Degree Murder and Drive By Shooting.  30 year old Jason Giles was arrested for First Degree Assault and Drive By Shooting.

The investigation is continuing and police are requesting that anyone who witnessed any portion of the incident call the Gang Enforcement Team at 625-GANG.

The Gang Enforcement Team is a multi-agency team consisting of officers from the Spokane Police Department, Spokane County Sheriffs Department, Washington State Patrol, ATF, FBI, and Department of Corrections.
