In honor of Anthony Joerger, beloved Idaho pedestrian

By Janice Simeone

Wreath in memory of Anthony. Photo by Janice SimeoneA wreath was place at the intersection of Cedar St. & 5th Ave in Sandpoint in honor of Anthony Joerger. Anthony was killed while crossing the street in the crosswalk late November. He walked everywhere in town welcoming a ride when offered during the winter months.  In 2009, Anthony was made a member of the walking committee in town. He was a well loved member of the community in North Idaho and is sorely missed.
