Lakedance International Film Festival kicked off on Halloween night with Horror On The Lake. The evening opened with indy short Safe Passage followed by Night Of The Living Dead. The second film block featured The Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Tim Jarzabek's FM opening for the classic horror movie.
Tuesday night's North Idaho Filmmaker Survivor packed the house and offered original shorts by local filmmakers.
Lakedance was started in 2005 by father and son team Fred and Trevor Greenfield. It is a week long festival with many of the movies being screened as world premieres.
Filmmakers from all over the world including Australia, South Korea and Japan have accompanied their films to Sandpoint, Idaho for Lakedance Film Fest over the past four years.
The festival will continue through the awards ceremony on Sunday November 8, 2009.
Prices are $38.00 for a season pass & $8.00 per film block with discounts available for seniors, military and college students with ID.
